This is another great free Bible Software that has been around a while and is a close second to theWord.

Bible Gateway is a tool for reading and researching scripture online — all in the language or translation of your choice! It provides advanced searching capabilities, which allow readers to find and compare particular passages in scripture based on keywords, phrases, or scripture reference.

StudyLight.org is a Christ-centered, Bible-based Internet ministry which is not apart of any one church group or denomination. Currently they provide one of the richest treasuries of online Biblical study materials available. You Version

This app provides a large number of translations and has good navigation. You can download a number of translations for offline reading, such as The Message and the New Living Translation, so it’s not just the King James Version or American Standard Version that most of the other free Bible apps provide. The mainstream versions like the English Standard Version and New International Version are only available while on the network.

Olive Tree

Olive Tree’s iPhone Bible software probably offers the most full featured package, but only the basics are free. The free version allows you to download the American Standard Version, the King James, the Bible in Basic English, along with a few others. If you want to add the NIV, New King James or other licensed version you will have to pay a fee for each one.

Like most other Bible study applications, the Mantis Bible Study application is free and comes with a full King James version of the Bible for you to use. They offer over 150 add-on services and pieces of content that you can add to the base application with several Bible translations available on the App Store.
